WWE RAW Results: August 28th 2006

RAW opened up with footage from last week of D-Generation X terrorizing the McMahon’s. We then go live to the arena as Shane McMahon’s music is playing and he makes his way down the ramp, sans Vince. Shane took the mic and said that DX’s sophomoric pranks have hit a new low. They disgraced his airplane and headquarters, and his limousine. Shane said they have gone too far and endangered their lives last week. Shane said they did a whole lot more than rip out the back end of the limousine; they ripped out a piece of his heart. They tried to celebrate Vince’s 61st birthday last Thursday, but all he could do was look at the ceiling and say “DX, DX, DX…” Shane said Vince is chilling out tonight, so Shane is running things, and his first order of business is for the first time on RAW, in tag team action, D-Generation X will compete in this very ring against…but that’s on a need to know basis, but it’s sweet. By the end of the night they will know who their opponents are tonight, and what they will face three weeks from now at Unforgiven. Shane said that D-Generation X will be put straight to hell. With that, the music of WWE Champion Edge hit in the arena as he made his way to the ring with the Women’s Champion, Lita. Edge got on the mic and he said if Shane’s running the show, he needs to do something. Edge said to roll the footage, and we see Edge being thrown into Long Island Sound by John Cena last week. Edge said he is the WWE Champion and you do not put your hands on the WWE Champion and throw him into that cesspool. Edge asks Shane to fire John Cena…he wants him out of his life. The music of John Cena then hit as he made his way to the ring. Cena got on the mic and says Edge doesn’t want him to take a walk right now. Every week he comes out here with a story about the two of them that ends in a happy ending for the R Rated Superstar, but if he leaves now then all the people will remember is Cena throwing him into the Long Island Sound. Cena said Shane seems a little stressed…if he’s got 10 bucks, think of the possibilities (dig at Lita). Cena said that he messes with Edge’s head and this is why he wants him gone. Cena said he has a three year contract to go to Smackdown, and he has no problem signing it, but he needs one more match from Edge. If Edge beats him, he signs on the dotted line and Edge can own Monday night’s. Cena handed Shane the contract and asked Edge what he thinks. Edge took the contract and takes a look. Cena said he wants him gone, there’s his ticket out. Edge said he’ll do it with two conditions. First off, he names where the match takes place, and it sure as hell won’t be in this dumb, and number two, he names what kind of match it is. Cena said deal. Shane stops Cena as he is leaving the ring. Shane said people need to learn respect around here, he didn’t dismiss Cena. Shane said Cena has a match here tonight, and since he’s out here let’s introduce his opponent right now...Chris Masters!

John Cena vs. Chris Masters

Back from commercial and we are underway with Cena nailing a suplex on Masters for two. Cena sent Masters to the corner and then hit the fisherman suplex for two. Master’s comes back with feet in the corner and then a clothesline. Masters got Cena on the apron and gave him an elbow to the face, and then choked him over the bottom rope. Masters hit some jabs as the fans chanted for Cena. Cena nailed right hands but then ran into a powerslam for a two count.

Masers locked in a camel clutch but Cena fought out and hit the flying shoulder. Cena nailed the spinning powerbomb and then went for the five knuckle shuffle, and nailed it. Cena went for the FU but Masters blocked and hit a reverse DDT. Masters called for the Master Lock and went for it but Cena reversed into the STFU. Edge then hit the ring with a steel chair and nailed Cena in the back.

Winner by disqualification: John Cena

Edge nailed Cena with the chair in the back again and then left the ring. Edge went under the ring and pulled out a ladder. Edge got the ladder into the ring and rammed it into the face of Cena. Edge went out of the ring again, and teased leaving, but went back under the ring and pulled out a table. Edge set the table up in the corner and tossed Cena through it. Edge grabbed his belt and took a mic. Edge said that he has good news. He’s decided where the match will take place…it’s going to be Unforgiven in his hometown of Toronto, Canada, and he’s decided what match it will be…a match Cena has never had and a match that Edge has never lost…Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

Backstage:

Shane is backstage with Charlie Haas and Viscera, and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch and they are arguing about who should face DX tonight. Shane said there is already a plan in place. Vince is on the phone, and Shane asks who he’s doing. We go to split screen with Vince in a hotel room. He said he had guests over earlier and has some wine action going on and a great big steak on the way in a minute. Vince asks Shane who’s going to be facing DX. The door bell rings at Vince’s suite, and then a rooster noise. Vince asks Shane what the sound is. Vince gets worried and turns around slowly. There’s two roosters’ in a cage in Vince’s room and Vince looks very worried, as DX knows where he is.

Backstage:

Carlito and Trish Stratus are shown backstage and Carlito said he wants to talk to her privately. Carlito asks Trish when she was planning on telling him. Carlito said it says on WWE.com that Lita says Trish is retiring after Unforgiven. Trish asked how she even knew that. Trish said this has beena decision she’s had to make and she didn’t want people finding out like this. She called Lita a nosey bitch and Carlito said it’s cool. Carlito said he’ll give her the proper goodbye, and then makes out with her. Randy Orton then nails Carlito from behind out of nowhere, and squashes Trish in the process. Orton leaves Trish and Carlito lying.

Back to School Girl Paddle on a Pole Match
Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle

Torrie Wilson made her way out to the ring with Chloe, followed by Candice. The first person to get the paddle gets to spank their opponent.

Torrie went for the paddle right away but Candice pulled her down. Candice then went for it but Torrie pulled her back down. They both took turns going for the pole and then Torrie got Candice on her shoulders, but Candice locked in the over the ropes choke. Candice kicked Torrie off the top rope and then took off her schoolgirl top. Torrie sent Candice to the corner and hit a running clothesline. Torrie took off her skirt and did the tush push. Candice bit Torrie and then went to the top and pulled off the paddle.

Winner: Candice Michelle

Torrie bent over and then Candice went to spank her but stopped. Candice then gave Torrie the paddle and Candice wanted to be spanked. Torrie spanked Candice. Candice then spanked Torrie some.

Number One Contender Match
Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy

Randy Orton made his way to the ring for this number one contender match for the Intercontinental Title against Jeff Hardy.

Orton hammered away at Hardy and then went to work on him in the corner. Hardy came back with a clothesline and then hit some right hands. Hardy hit a double boot to the chest and then clotheslined Orton to the outside. Hardy hit a springboard whisper in the wind from the apron to the floor on Orton as we go to commercial.

Back on RAW and Orton is in control with a rear naked choke on Hardy in the middle of the ring. During the break, Orton nailed a big time clothesline on Hardy. Hardy fights out of the choke and nails his spinning back kick to send Orton to the outside. Hardy nailed a suicide dive through the ropes onto Orton, and it seems Hardy is more hurt than Orton. Orton slammed Hardy into the apron and then sent him back into the ring and covered for two.

Orton hit a knee to the back of the head and then hit a snapmare and went back to the rear naked choke. Hardy fought out and hit a side suplex. Hardy hit some right hands, and then a running clothesline. Orton missed a dropkick and then Hardy hit a dropkick to the abdomen. Hardy went to the middle rope and came off with a dropkick for two. Orton came back with a thumb to the eye and then the modified backbreaker for a near fall. Orton went for a powerbomb but Hardy countered with a huricanrana.

Hardy went for the whisper in the wing but Orton countered with a mid air dropkick for another near fall. Hardy came back again with a neckbreaker and then headed up top for the Swanton but Orton rolled to the outside. Carlito then hit the ring and pushed Orton back into the ring and then Hardy distracted the referee while Carlito spat apple into Orton’s eye. Hardy hit the twist of fate and then went up and nailed the Swanton for the win.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

Orton is pissed at Carlito as Jeff Hardy celebrates his huge victory and he is now the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title.

Backstage:

DX are shown backstage looking at the “Vince Likes Cock” tee shirt. Security then slams through the door with Shane McMahon. Shane said he’s going to enjoy their match later on, and he’s ordering them that the pranks stop. Triple H said the rooster thing tonight was from the heart, no fooling around anymore. They said Vince seemed stressed out and what better way to relieve the stress than choking the chicken. Shane said they need to grow up…says the man whose 61 year old father makes grown men kiss his own, who made his daughter have an I Quit match a week before her wedding. DX then pulled out the new McMahon DVD and plugged it. They said if Shane’s not down with that, they got two words for him.
World Tag Team Championship Match
Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Eugene vs. The Spirit Squad (c)

The Highlanders make their way to the arena and join Ross and Lawler on commentary. Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Eugene then make their way to the ring for a shot at the World Tag Team Titles against the Spirit Squad.

Eugene and Mikey started out with Eugene taking control and tossing Mikey to the outside. Eugene hit a baseball slide sending the Spirit Squad onto the announce table. We then get a shoving match between the Squad and the Highlanders. The referee ejects Johnny and Nicky from ringside. The referee also ejects the Highlanders as well. Back in the ring and Mikey tags in Kenny and they hit a double suplex on Eugene. Mitch is still at ringside, for the record. Kenny stomped at Eugene and then tagged Mikey back in who covered for two.

Mikey worked Eugene over in the corner, and then Kenny exposed the buckle and Mikey went to send Eugene into it, but Eugene stopped and hit an elbow on Mikey. Duggan tagged in who gave slams to both members of the Squad. Duggan went for the three point stance but Mikey was pushed out of the way by Kenny and Duggan hit the exposed buckle and Mikey covered for the win.

Winners and still World Tag Team Champions: Spirit Squad

The music of Umaga hit in the arena as he and Armando Alejandro Estrada made their way to the ring. Umaga hammered away at Eugene and gave him a sick STO. Umaga then gave Duggan the Samoan Spike in the corner, followed by the running neck snap in the corner on Eugene. Umaga then gave Eugene the Samoan Spike for good measure. Armando took the mic and said that Kane decided to stick his nose in their business at SummerSlam. Armando said that Kane got put out of commission by the only monster in WWE, and his name is the undefeated Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga.

Melina and Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro made their way down to the ring, and there’s a microphone set up for this press conference. Nitro said that this conference has been called so Melina can address the fans after last week. Nitro said what did you expect her to do. He said he is Johnny Nitro, the Intercontinental Champion, and he is everything that you people…and Mick Foley are not. Nitro said to admit it; they all wish they could be Nitro for just one night. He goes home, gets freaky with Melina and cuddles with his Intercontinental Title, and that killed Mick Foley, and that killed Mick Foley because he couldn’t do what he did every night. For Mick Foley and everyone else, fantasizing and dreaming are the closest they will get to doing this…Nitro then makes out with Melina. Melina then took over and said she would like to add that Mick Foley isn’t so much a quitter, he’s more an ass kisser. He kissed McMahon’s ass, the people’s ass and her ass. Foley claimed he wanted to be her friend, but she knows better. She called Foley a disgusting freak and he fell for her, and that’s not her fault. Melina said Foley can step in line because every man in this arena and every man around the world all fall for her. She would never take a person who looks like Foley seriously. She would like to make the statement that she never let Mick Foley touch her. She said Foley developed a school boy crush and embarrassed himself over her. Melina said she would never associate herself with regular people like them or Mick Foley. She is out of Foley’s league and there’s no way in hell that she would leave Nitro for a one eared smelly muppet like Foley. She not only fired Foley, but she put him out of his misery. Nitro said for Foley to enjoy his 19th retirement and to sit down and write his little blog as his career goes places that Foley’s never did go, and he does thing that Foley never could do. In closing, he would like to state something that Foley knows, and something everyone else knows…Melina and him are the hottest things on RAW and Nitro is the future of sports entertainment.

Kurt Angle Released:

Ross and Lawler talked about Kurt Angle getting released from World Wrestling Entertainment on Friday, and to check out WWE.com for comments from the RAW superstars on his release. Ross and Lawler wished Angle the best.

Women’s Championship Match
Mickie James vs. Lita (c)

Mickie James makes her way to the ring, and she’s set for her rematch for the Women’s Championship against Lita, who beat her for the title two weeks ago on RAW.

Mickie shoved Lita down and then Lita tossed Mickie to the outside. Lita slammed Mickie head first into the apron and then sent her back into the ring and covered for two. Lita slammed Mickie’s knee into the mat and then tied it up in the rope. Lita kicked away at Mickie in the corner and then shoved her around. Mickie came back with a shot to the mid section and then went for a back kick but Lita blocked and Mickie scored with an enziguri for two.

Mickie hit a flying forearm and then a monkey flip in the corner. Mickie hit some right hands and then nailed a fisherman suplex for two. Lita came back with a back elbow and then went to the outside and grabbed her belt. The referee grabbed the belt and then Mickie rolled up Lita but the referee was distracted taking away the belt. Mickie hit an elbow in the corner and then went for the Mickanrana, but Lita countered into a rollup and grabbed the ropes for the win.

Winner and still Women's Champion: Lita

Handicap Match
D-Generation X vs. William Regal, Finlay and Mr. Kennedy

The music of DX hit in the arena as Shawn Michaels and Triple H made their way to the ring, and we have yet to find out who their opponents will be tonight. Shane McMahon then made his way to the stage. He said he will remember their opponents from SummerSlam…Smackdown’s United States Champion Finlay, William Regal and Mr. Kennedy.

Back on RAW and we are underway with Regal in control of Michaels. Regal nailed a knee drop and then locked in an arm hold. Michaels fought out but then Finlay tripped him from the outside and pulled him out and gave him a clothesline. Little Bastard then came from under the ring and Finlay slammed him onto Michaels before kicking him back under. Finlay gave Michaels a low blow while the referee was distracted, and then tossed Michaels back inside for Regal to cover for two.

Regal distracted the referee again while Finlay worked Michaels over on the apron. Regal tagged out to Finlay and he hit a running shoulder on Michaels in the corner. Finlay nailed the cannonball and covered for two before locking in a nerve hold. Michaels battled out but then Finlay levelled him with a clothesline. Finlay tagged Regal back in who hit some knees to the head of Michaels. Finlay is back in but he missed a splash in the corner and hit the ring post. Finlay got the tag to Regal but Michaels tagged in Triple H. Triple H nailed right hands to all three men.

Triple H hit the facebuster on Regal and then sent Kennedy to the outside. Triple H hit the spinebuster on Finlay and then went for the Pedigree on Regal but Kennedy came in and clotheslined Triple H. Kennedy came off the top with the Senton Bomb but Triple H moved. Kennedy was sent to the outside and then Finlay held Triple H for Regal to hit him with a chair, but Triple H moved and Regal nailed Finlay. Triple H then nailed the Pedigree on Regal for the win.

Winners: D-Generation X

Shane McMahon came back to the stage and said he has two more words for DX…Big Show. The Big Show was then led to the ring by Shane McMahon. DX attacked Big Show as he entered the ring. They both charged at him but he grabbed them by the throat. DX gave Big Show a low blow. Kennedy is back up and crotched Michaels in the corner and Finlay is back in and gave Triple H a shot with the shillelagh. Big Show gave Triple H the chokeslam and then gave Michaels the cobra clutch backbreaker. Mr. McMahon’s music hit and he made his way to the ring looking pissed, with a lead pipe in his hand. McMahon got in the ring and nailed Triple H with the lead pipe. Shane held Triple H while McMahon nailed him. McMahon nailed Triple H repeatedly, busting Triple H open in the process. Shane then got Michaels up and Vince grabbed the camera from the cameraman and Vince nailed him in the head with it. Vince tossed the camera to the outside and Michaels is busted. Vince choked Michaels and then Shane nailed a running shot with the pipe on Triple H. Vince choked Triple H with his tie. Vince took the mic and said it’s not over till he says it’s over. Vince said that the Big Show will be joining them against DX, and it will be Hell in a Cell!
News on Kurt Angle's shocking release

Angle has said that years of non-stop wrestling action has effected himself, both mentally and physically, and said he body can almost no longer take it. He said that he needs to take some time to have his body heal and rehab. He also wants to spend time with his family.

Angle's last match was at a house show versus Rob Van Dam. In the middle of the match, he pulled his groin. He tried hiding it and continued for the fans. More damage happened as he soon pulled his hamstring. But he finished the match. "The crowd stood and applauded - a standing ovation and that meant so much to me."

Angle doesn't know if he will ever return to WWE. "I can't tell you that right now, I need to heal up mentally and physically. Until then, I can't even think about returning."

Edited on 8.2.06, 5:13 PM EST: The co-owner spot is now open. Please contact me if you are interested!
______________________________________________________________________________________

Recently, I've been talking to someone interested in helping me run The WWE Insider. At the moment, I am just too busy with life to run this on my own, and I definately want to keep it up and running. I have put very little thought into it, but maybe if WWE Insider had a crew team, things would be a lot more organized and would run smoother. This would include a team who can make exclusive WWE Insider layouts, etc., a co-owner who will assist me in the updates and overall management, forum staff- people who will moderate the WWE Insider forums and will manage the community. We also need any experienced HTML coders or graphics designers.

Rene Dupree signs 5-year deal with WWE

Not long ago, a news report from around Rene's hometown in Canada announced, in a large article in their sports section, that he has been recovering from a hernia that has kept him out of the ring for 9 months. The article mentions that Rene reportedly has signed a 5-year contract with the WWE.

Edit- Rene is currently finishing up his wrestling rehabilitation in his dad's business. Rene is teaming with his brother and they face former WWE wrestler Chad Dick, and the Cuban Assassin.

Kurt Angle's ribs in bad shape

There are some reports stating the Kurt Angle has some torn rib cartilage and is being a bit bothered from the injury. As of now, there is no word on how long he will be out, or if he will be out. I would expect him to continue wrestling through his injury and the WWE Insider will inform you if any more news regarding his injury comes in.

Batista and Booker T fight: Details

Backstage somewhere, Booker T became upset because Batista was shaking hands with several Smackdown wrestlers but ignored Booker. Booker tried to get back at him by asking if he still believed the Smackdown crew was lazy (Batista stated this at an interview several months ago). Batista defended himself from Booker's comments. Booker tried to walk away but Batista took themselves into a separate room and started fighting. Batista was the man on the bottom, and other wrestlers came to break it up, but Batista urged them to let the fight go on. It did, and Batista ended up on his back again, and the fight was broken up for good. Sharmell stated that she thought Batista had cheap shot at Booker, and she started kicking him. There were reports that Batista tried some cheap shots at him, but didn't land any effectively. Afterwards, Batista stated that Booker T was responsible for lower card wrestlers being held down in the locker room. No one else agreed with him. Vince McMahon later pulled them aside and tried to have them settle their differences.

WWE RAW Results (6/19/06): The DX Reunion!

These results are written by and is copyrighted to Jeremy Swick of WWE Insider. Yeah, it's back.

Without any theme song or video, RAW opens up with Vince McMahon staring at the camera. Here's the transcript of how it opened up.

Vince: Good evening. Two weeks ago here on Raw Triple H was to have joined the Mr. McMahon kiss my ass club. I didn't get what I wanted on that night. As a result of that last week Triple H was to face all five members of the Spirit Squad in a handicap match. Triple H was to have been dismembered. But thanks to Shawn Michaels....that didn't happen either. So I didn't exactly get what I wanted either. But this week - oh yeah...this week I'm going to get exactly what I want. I've heard there was going to be some sort of DX reunion. There's not going to be any DX reunion. There's something going to be the destruction of Degeneration X. And you don't believe me? Actions speak louder than words.

Vince walks and runs into a man with a chicken.

Vince: It's a chicken!

Man with a chicken: It's a cock. Apparently you love cocks.

Vince: Why don't you tell your little chicken man that whoever put you up to this...I'm not in the mood.

Vince walks some more and runs into an alien. Vince stares it down and keeps on walking as the alien mimics his every move.

Some Chippendales walk up to him and say they are ready to blow his mind. They dance as Vince stands with his hands in his pockets pissed off. He keeps on walking.

Dusty Rhodes walks up and tells him to look at something. Vince says he's going to destroy DX tonight. Dusty pimps his DVD. Dusty goes to sell the DVD to the strippers so Vince keeps on walking. A UPS guy walks up and asks him to sign for something - his delivery. Vince asks what it is. It's his imported penis enlarger pump! Crowd is going wild! Vince is pissed and says he is going to destroy DX.

We are then brought to ringside where Jim Ross and the King talk about what happened and laugh it off. Then Vince McMahon's music hits the arena.

He gets on the mic and says that tonight will be a huge embarrassment for DX, and he has two words for DX...LIVING HELL. He points to his 12 size shoe, and says he'll plant it between HHH's butt cheeks, and the heel will knock Michaels' teeth out. The then begins to say he has a plan tonight for the destruction of DX, as a mischievous grin came about his face. Before he could begin, Shane McMahon comes down to the ramp and just starts shouting to his dad (with no microphone). All I could pick up was that he wanted Vince to leave with him, now. A minute later, we find out Stephanie is in labor. Shane and Vince are in front of a limo, and then Coach interrupts them. Vince tells Coach that he is in charge for tonight. Vince then says that  Stephanie always had the worst timing, and now she's in labor! "THAT BITCH! Shane is in the limo and Vince unwillingly gets in.

My two cents: Wow, awesome segment! I just remembered that Triple H is the dad, and this should get RAW some intense ratings!! Hilarious ending to finish off the segment.

Bra and Panties tag-team match
Torrie Wilson and Maria vs Candice Michelle and Mickie James

Candice and Torrie start the match out. Candice gains the upper hand but Torrie counters with a sunset flip and pulls Candice's shirt off. Mickie attacks Torrie from behind and exposes her panties. Maria is tagged in and punches Mickie. Mickie hits a flapjack and exposes Maria's bra and panties very quickly. She then pulls Torrie's shirt off for the win.

Winners: Candice Michelle and Mickie James
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 5/10- It was very cute, but a bit too short, I absolutely loved last weeks balloon match thing!

And afterwards, Mickie attacks Candice and pulls off Candice's jean bottoms. She then mocks her Go Daddy dance and says "Get out of my ring". The gets out of the right, steals JR's cowboy hat and then pulls a shirt off of a fan in the crowd.

Now, we come back from the break to see Charlie Haas in the ring. Viscera then comes out and gives Charlie one last chance to give Lillian the proper apology. Charlie tells him that Lillian did accept his apology last week, and then they went to dinner. This puts a shocked face of Viscera. Charlie then says that afterward, they had some "pillow talk". Lillian then shouts "WHAT?!" from the timekeepers' table. Viscera then gives Haas a blow to the face and begins attacking him in the corner. The match is now underway.

He throws Charlie out of the ring. Ten seconds later, he throws him back in the ring but Haas pounds on him as Viscera comes back in. He comes off the ropes, but Viscera hits a Sidewalk Slam. Haas begins to get a little sliver of offense, and hits some rights in the corner. But Viscera does his trademark slam to the mat. Viscera chops him as he demands to know what Charlie did to Lillian. Viscera chokes Charlie. He whips him hard into the opposite corner. Viscera hits a charge in the corner and swivels his hips. Then the Spirit Squad comes out and attacks both men. Two on Haas, the other three on Big Vis. Haas and Viscera both try to fight back, but the numbers game caught on to them and couldn't overcome the odds. Johnny hits the spin kick to knock Haas from the ring and all five members throw Viscera in the air and back down again.

Winner: No Contest
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 5/10- Well, at least Haas tried to get some offense in.

Kenny is now on the mic and says the DX will not even make it to Vengeance. He calls out Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and they appear on the titantron. Shawn turns to Triple H and said he knew this would happen and said they are going to get murderized. Triple H says they are just cheerleaders. He announces they they will come down tonight, but on their own terms. Then, the world will witness the rebirth of the most powerful force in the universe, D-Generation X! Triple H says that they have two words for the Spirit Squad. The crowd says it for them, but Triple H says "No, we were thinking of two different words-- LOOK UP!" The Spirit Squad now get slimed! DX laughs it off and then spray "DX" on the camera.

Backstage:
The Spirit Squad are shown pissed off in the back complaining to the Coach. The Coach says that the plan is still on, and it will be executed tonight for DX. The Spirit Squad said if it doesn't they'll do it themselves. Coach then walks back to Vince McMahon's office, where Paul Heyman is on the couch. Coach urges Heyman to leave, but Heyman says that he will--if Coach wants the situation on RAW to go from bad to worse. He announces that in the back of the arena, a bus-full of ECW wrestlers were waiting and ready to invade RAW on command. Coach then asks what Paul wants. Heyman wants an inter-promotional tag match on ECW of Edge and Orton from RAW versus Kurt Angle and Rob Van Dam on ECW tomorrow night (which is tonight, guys!), to which Coach agrees to. Paul then asks for one more match: Balls Mahoney vs John Cena on RAW later tonight. Coach agreed and Heyman thanked him and walked away.

We come back, as Umaga is coming down to the ring, while a local boy is preparing to get squashed. The bell rings and Umaga thrust kicks his opponent and soon enough, he is in the tree of woe and gets a running headbutt, followed by the Whipsplash. Samoan Spike and this one is over.

Winner: Umaga
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 4/10- Okay, I'm getting a bit tired of him getting to squash everybody. How about WWE makes a huge freaking match for him...like an interpromotional match at the next 'Saturday Night's Main Event' (which is in less than a month): Umaga vs The Great Khali.

Umaga throws the kid out of the ring and the crowd now listens to Armando Alejandro Estraddddaaaa. The crowd says it along with him, he lets the crowd finish. He gets upset and leaves the ring. And now backstage, we see Cena getting ready to come to the ring.

John Cena vs Balls Mahoney

Cena comes down to a decent pop, and then Balls Mahoney comes down to the ECW theme, accomponied by Paul Heyman. On the chair Balls came to the ring with, it said "Cena must pay". The match begins with some of the crowd chanting "ECW", and the two start exchanging punches. Cena gets a two count on Balls. Balls comes back with a thumb to the eye and throws Cena into the turnbuckle. Headbutt by Balls and some punches. Balls hits a kick to the head for two. Cena punches back to boos and hits shoulderblocks and a Blue Thunder Driver. Cena goes for the five knuckle shuffle as Heyman hands Balls the chair. Cena counters with the slowest drop toe hold you will ever see and the STFU. Balls taps.

Winner: John Cena
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 5.75/10- One of the worst matches I've seen John Cena in in awhile. This just wasn't very exciting.

John Cena turns around, and Sabu throws a steel chair right at his face! Cena rolls outside the ring, and Sabu nails him with the television monitors. He sets Cena on the announce booth and goes into the ring, he runs and leaps off the chair, landing on the rope (amazing balance by him), and then jumps on top of Cena, breaking the table. Cena's eye is busted open, and about 3 minutes later after some help from the refs, Cena struggles to get up, revealing his eye which is bleeding, and he has a sickly stare in his eyes.

Randy Orton vs Snitsky

Now, Randy Orton comes to the ring, as Snitsky is already in the ring. He pokes Snitsky in the eye, and quickly hit a backbreaker. He hits a kneedrop and covers Snitsky for a two count. Snitsky then is put into a headlock and then battles out of hit and hits Orton with a clothesline, followed by a pump handle slam. He tackles Orton from a 4 point stance, and then Orton blocks a charge. Orton then counters another move, and goes for the RKO but Snitsky pushed him off, and went for a big boot to Orton, which he dodged, and then Randy hit him with the RKO, and gets the three count.

Winner: Randy Orton
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 6.25/10- Not too bad...not too great.

After the match, Jerry Lawler meets Orton outside the ring and asks him going to an ECW ring. Randy said that Kurt Angle will find out that Vengeance is Orton's.

Back from the break, Carlito is out in the ring and says he was minding his own business (like he always does), laughing about what DX did when Coach overheard and decided to book Carlito in a handicapped match. Not cool. Carlito becoming IC champ again? That's cool. His first opponent is Johnny Nitro, accompanied by Melina. Next is Shelton Benjamin.

Handicapped Match

Carlito vs Nitro and Shelton Benjamin

Nitro and Carlito start things off. Nitro gets a collar and elbow, and hits a shoulderblock on Carlito. After a series of dodges and reversals, Carlito monkey flips Nitro, who lands on his feet. Carlito hits a backflip off the second rope and knocks down Nitro with a clothesline. Benjamin tells Nitro he sucks and tags in. Carlito hits Benjamin with a back suplex. The two then start trading punches and then Carlito hits a running knee and a clothesline for a two count. Shelton throws Carlito in the air and Nitro hits a blind tag. They argue and then fight each other. Benjamin is clotheslined out by Nitro. Carlito rolls Nitro up from behind, but Nitro reverses in and pins him while holding his tights.

Winners: Johnny Nitro and Shelton Benjamin
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 6.75/10- Sadly the best match of the night so far. I'm rooting for Carlito this Sunday...

After the match, Carlito and Shelton stare at Nitro from the ring, while he is headed to the back. Then the two take a glance at each other, and Benjamin goes for a cheap shot, but Carlito hits a backcracker.

Back from the break, we're in Mr. McMahon's office, which has been graffiti'd by DX! Shawn and Triple H walk in and wonder who did it. They're taunting Coach, who is in there as well, and sit down with him to watch RAW.

Now Maria is backstage interviewing Eugene. Eugene says that Hacksaw Jim Duggan is at home recovering from his match with Umaga last week. He said that Sunday at Vengeance, he'll get back at Umaga for Hacksaw. Rob Conway then interrupts, and starts to make fun of Eugene and then Eugene snaps and attacks him. Eugene gets up and roars like Umaga. Weird.

And now, we go back into McMahon's office, where DX continues to have fun with Coach. Coach warns them to rethink their plans for later on, because he is just as strict as McMahon. Triple H and Shawn Michaels look a bit ashamed, and "agree". They then throw him through the wall, and rip off his pants, revealing his, ughh...thong. Michaels wonders what kind of a man wears a thong. The two then spray paint his ass, and walk off.

Back from the break, Mick Foley has joined the King and J.R for commentary of the following match.

Edge vs Ric Flair

To start the match, Edge throws Flair into the corner and starting throwing right hands to him. He then sends him to the opposite corner and hits a back body drop. Edge then goes onto the turnbuckle, where Flair meets him with a chop. He starts chopping him more in the corner, and then Foley distracts Flair. Edge goes to the outside, and comes back into the ring with a chair. The referee takes it away, and while his back is turned, Ric delivers with a low blow to Edge. Two count. Flair pulls Lita into the ring, and then Foley is up on the apron with Mr. Socko, and has the mandible claw on Flair. Flair turns around and immediately gets a spear from Edge for the three count.

Winner: Edge
WWE Insider's Match Rating: 7/10- I was extremely upset and did not want to see this match tonight. It was a little better than I expected, but I don't want to see Flair wrestle again. This is absolutely pointless.

Afterwards, RVD comes out and attacks Edge. He brings him back inside the ring and hits the 5-Star Frog Splash.

Backstage:
The Spirit Squad are with about 7 or 8 other wrestlers pumping them up for the assault of DX.

We come back from the break, and the theme of DX hits! Are you ready? Triple H and Shawn Michaels come out to a huge pop, and once in the ring, Triple H gets on the mic to the crowd. "Are you ready??" "For the thousands in attendance and millions watching at home, and just because they are back, Llllllllllllllllllllet's get ready to suck it!!!!" If you're not down with that...Triple H says the originals are back, badder than ever. Michaels asks the lord for forgiveness since Vince and Shane are worried sick about Stephanie's labor pains. Triple H calls him a liar and says Stephanie is fine. Michaels wonders who got Stephanie pregnant. Triple H said whoever it is, he must be a stud and well hung. Shawn knows what the Squad is thinking. They have the odds in their favor. But they are not just facing two superstars, they are facing DX. The Spirit Squad interrupts. It's the Midget Squad on their way to the ring! Is this what became of Smackdown's Juniors Division? Triple H and Shawn Michaels lay them out. Triple H hits Sweet Chin Music on the shortest one. Shawn puts a blindfold on as Triple H brings out his version of cheerleaders, fresh from the local gentleman's establishment. They have a cheer. They take off their shirts. Triple H calls them the "breast" cheerleaders ever. Before they can take their bras off, the real Spirit Squad interrupts and come out with the heels.  Johnny and Nicky head to the ring, and then everyone else not in the Spirit Squad head to the back. Johnny and Nicky looks sick, and slowly turn around. One getting some sweet chin music, the other getting a pedigree. DX has two words for the Spirit Squad, and the midgets moon the Squad to reveal "Suck It!" written on their cheeks. The fat guys were freaking amazing!

Biggest Pops:
1. DX (Triple H & Shawn Michaels)
2. John Cena
3. Randy Orton

Biggest Heat:
1. Vince McMahon
2. Edge
3. Spirit Squad

Another Randy Orton-Triple H Feud?

Randy Orton was moved to RAW after his injury because he is likely to start a feud with Triple H after the DX angle is done. They will feud when Shawn Michaels will go into surgery due to a troubled knee.

A brief update on Rene Dupree: Sighted

A fan was at a wrestling show where he saw Rene's match (above, at beginning of post). He said Rene was "the good guy" (face), and he has lost some weight from the surgery and has longer hair. Rene deserves a lot in the WWE.

Leave some comments, on the first big update of the summer!

We're back!; We need a revamp

The WWE Insider is officially back! It's been rather inactive during the school year and only managed to get in updates on a limited schedule. However, I worked all night on a new layout, which we will have for the summer. I am a bit frusterated because even though the layouts turned out alright, they are way too dark, and I want a lighter layout (like this one) because it is totally not "summer-ee". Here's how it turned out (I have changed the banner recently and added a decent background):

Or you can go to: http://i6.tinypic.com/14o9deo.gif to see the full-sized image. I sort of have an idea of the color scheme I want, but I encourage you to please leave a suggestion in a comment.

WWE releases Goldust

WWE.com has recently announced the release of Goldust, and The WWE Insider (along with the WWE, of couse) wish him the best in his future.

Update on John Cena--Heel turn?

You may have noticed that John Cena has been more "edgy" or "badass" throughout the last week or two. Despite all this, and his controversial invasion of ECW, there are no plans at this time of him turning heel.

Check back soon!

Unfortunately, that's all I have for you at this time. Yes, a rather small update, but I remind you to check back very shortly for another update! Don't miss out!
